ABOUT ROXY

I am not a decorator. I am someone who cannot stop seeing.

I see it in the way morning light lands on old floorboards. In the weight of a brass tap. In cleaning brushes arranged on a windowsill. In the tension between a Moroccan lantern and a white linen sofa. In flowers stuffed into a dustpan just because they were there, and they were beautiful.

I have been collecting things since before I knew why: antiques, textures, objects with a past. I built a showroom in a former woodworking factory in Amsterdam and filled it with everything I loved. I design homes for people who want to feel something when they walk through the door. I have designed hospitality spaces, directed brands, and made clothes.

The discipline changes. The eye doesn't.

I believe a home should be lived in, not preserved. That the most beautiful rooms carry some evidence of a real life, a book left open, a vase that doesn't quite match, a chair that has been repaired because it was worth keeping.

I work with people who feel the same way.
